Why did you decide to use
RealAudio for your sound files?

RealAudio allows me to create
a relatively high quality sound files that are very
small in size. The player is free, so everyone has equal access.

The RetroAugust page on the
main part of the site does not update in real time, why?

A
I have not figured out a
way to update the main RetroAugust page in real time yet. The
RetroAugust page in the Members section is updated when I am
on cam, but I have to manually copy the files to update the
non-Members section. This is a technical issue, nothing more.
I try to remember to update Retro as soon as I go off cam. If
I forget, sorry, stuff happens.

Sometimes it seems that the
MemberCam does not update at 60 second intervals, why is that?

A
Webcam32 is set to send a
new picture to the server every 60 seconds, however if there
are routing problems or server issues, the image will sometimes
take longer than 60 seconds to update. Most of the time the
image is updated on time, but if you do not get a new image
it is because of issues beyond my control.

Sometimes the picture of
you doesn't change for a while. Are you not always available
for the camera?
|
A
I am a degreed professional
in the health Care field, so I'm not always available to be
on camera. Recently I have started doing more research oriented
work, and my time is quite limited. My life outside of this
site is becoming more and more demanding so my time here will
start to decline. If you don't see the camera image change for
a few days at a time there is no need to worry, I am fine and
will be back online as soon as I can. When I am available I
will leave the camera on as much as possible that day so if
you see an empty chair I am most likely working in other parts
of the house. Again, don't worry, I'll be back. :)

When is the best time to
find you at home on camera?

A
This is a tough one.. I'm
located on the East Coast, and I usually get up around 7AM and
go to sleep by 10PM. Since I don't have a set schedule, you
can expect to see me anytime during the day or evenings
|

Is this an adult site?
|
A
No. However the live camera
is in a room that I spend quite a bit of time in, and I may
be wearing very little on occasion. If the possibility of this
offends you, just go away.

Is August your real name?
|
A
Yes it is. I was born on
August 21st, and my parents thought it would be cool to name
me after the month I was born in. Good thing they did not use
this method on my brothers! (December and May)

Why do you allow people to
look into your private life? Don't you feel strange with people
watching you all the time?

A
Why not? :) It's an interesting
feeling, but I've gotten used to it over the lastfew years.

I brought this site online

Yes, I have as a child for
a toy catalog.. but not recently.

length are, change is good!

I do not use CU-SeeMe nor
do I participate in any chat rooms other than my own. I do not
lurk in my own chat 100% of the time I am on camera, but most
of the time you will find me there as an active participant.

Would you tell me a little
about yourself?

A
Sure.. I'm in my 20's, don't
weigh too much and am 5'2" tall. I like movies, dogs, reading,
music and very polite men. I don't like rude people or people
who won't take no for an answer.

What is your sexual preference?

A
I like men, and only men.
I've never found myself curious about the other side of the
fence, and never will. I understand that there are those who
differ, and that's one of the things that makes the world such
an interesting place to live.

I'm a geek, how does this
site work? :)

A
It's a very straightforward
setup. I use a Sony video camera and a Snappy to get the images
to the computer. Webcam32
is the capture software that grabs the images and sends them
to my server. Excellent software BTW, highly recommended.
When I'm here and the camera is on, I dial into my ISP and have
the software automatically FTP the file to the right directory.
The updating web page uses a META tag to tell your browser to
update at a certain interval so that you don't miss any of the
action. The picture is taken by my software, and is independent
of your browser.

After taking a look at several
different listserver packages available I settled on the program
with eGroups.com

If I send clothing, will you model it for the camera? Can I

At the current time, I do
not have a way to accept gifts but thank you so very much for
